Job Description: Geotechnical Engineer position for growing geotechnical/environmental consulting firm. Estimated 50% geotechnical and 50% environmental work split. Should have excellent communication skills, and project management experience. Should have a willingness to learn and work with a team. Should be experienced in both geotechnical and environmental fields. Should be able to analyze, and formulate solutions, and write technical reports of findings and recommendations.
Requirements and Advantages:
BSCE required, PE is a plus but not required.
4+ years experience.
Excellent computer skills.
Excellent technical report writing skills.
Project management skills.
Word processing proficiency in MS Word, 25 wpm.
Spreadsheet proficiency - advanced skills required in MS EXCEL = should be able to set up a spreadsheet from scratch to perform calculations, evaluations, graphs and "what if" scenarios.
Ability and willingness to help in field activities as needed.
Proficiency in other engineering analysis programs, such as hydrologic models, slope stability, etc.
Experience in environmental services (Phase I, II, III).
Madrid Construction Services, involved in design-build, may also use your services on occasion as construction management, technical oversight, or regulatory compliance on challenging construction projects.

DRILLER / FIELD and LAB TECHNICIAN
Job Description: Field /Lab Technician position for growing geotechnical/environmental consulting firm. Estimated 70% field work and 30% laboratory and office work split. Should have excellent communication skills, and a willingness to learn and work with a team. Should be interested in both geotechnical and environmental fields as you will be cross-trained to obtain soil samples and groundwater samples under separate protocols. Will work with senior engineer, staff engineer and/or geologist to obtain field information, test and analyze samples.
Requirements and Advantages:
BS or BA is a plus but not required.
Excellent computer skills is a plus but not required.
Knowledgeable in AutoCADD, is a plus but not required.
Word processing proficiency in MS Word, 25 wpm.
Spreadsheet proficiency Excel is a plus but not required.
Physically able to lift 50 lbs, field work and heavy lifting required at times. Hand augering for soil borings will be required; use of hand cone penetrometer (CPT), drill rods, etc.
Geotechnical lab experience is a plus but not required.
Experience in environmental field sampling, including OSHA 40-hour training, is a plus but not required.
