Professional Profile
Larry D. Madrid, P.E., has extensive experience in the fields of civil
and geotechnical engineering, construction management, environmental compliance and water
quality issues, and has 19 years of technical and managerial responsibility over a wide
range of projects. He has managed senior and staff-level personnel including engineers,
contractors, geologists, hydrogeologists, field and laboratory technicians, drillers, CADD
designers, and environmental scientists. Mr. Madrid is a specialist in the geotechnical
and environmental needs in central and south Florida, having been involved a broad range
of technical activities such as design-build projects, foundation design and monitoring,
water quality testing, construction monitoring, right-of-way corridor studies and
investigating sinkholes. He has conducted or supervised over 500 geotechnical explorations
and worked on projects in Florida, South Carolina, Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming. In 1992,
he founded Madrid Engineering Group, Inc., a consulting engineering firm and general
contractor based in Florida, which emphasizes civil/geotechnical engineering,
construction, and water quality issues. Mr. Madrid has participated in Value Engineering
exercises and expert testimony.
