Madrid Engineering
Brings New Meaning to "Tight Squeeze"
|
| Our new drill rig can really fit into some tight
places, as shown below. The drill, custom manufactured for Madrid Engineering, is
specially designed for use on limited access subsidence investigation jobs. The
outriggers, properly placed for safety during drilling operations, can expand the support
base from 3 to 6 feet wide and are designed to keep the rig steady. However, the
outriggers can be removed so the rig can maneuver into tight spots, as narrow as 3 feet
wide. |
|
|
While accessing a proposed boring location,
the rig can be driven through gates into back yards that previously required tripod
drilling, which is slow, cumbersome, and more expensive. MEGs new rig is also track
mounted, allowing us to access manicured yards without tearing them up. And like its
bigger brother (i.e., our larger, trailer-mounted drill rig), the new rig can drill up to
100 feet deep.
|
| "By purchasing our own
difficult access rig, we have better control over our schedule and can respond to our
clients faster", said Larry Madrid, P.E., principal engineer and owner. Madrid
Engineering strives for and delivers 30-day turnaround on subsidence investigations. |
| Madrid Engineering Group, Inc.
