One of our technicians, Clint Gaston, reports the following on coaching his daughter’s soccer teams. “Hi my name is Clint Gaston and I’m a senior technician at Madrid Engineering Group. I have been with the company for over 5 years now and it has been a wonderful experience for me. Since the age of four I have been a huge soccer fanatic, playing in everything from recreational to competitive leagues with both indoor and outdoor tournaments. When I was in high school I made the varsity squad my freshmen year and by the time I was a senior I honored with the captain’s band. Now my daughter is playing in an indoor co-ed league through the City of Bartow Parks and Recreation Department. Having a good soccer background, I decided to volunteer as a coach for my daughter’s team last year.

Both the team and the attitude of the kids were outstanding. I enjoyed seeing their progression during the season and how their faces would light up when they scored! I had no choice after the first year but to sign up again and enjoy another fun-filled season. This years’ team is called Roma – the name is based on Associazone Sportiva Roma (A.S. Roma), an Italian football club which plays in the Serie A League. The team is again a joy to watch as I try to help them progress their skills. I’m so fortunate I took the opportunity to step out of the box and involve myself in the community.
